Here in apartment 113, we are always looking for a reason to celebrate. It's just what we do. So since yesterday was a holiday, we figured that we should party it up! Check it out:
We started off the day by making some tasty greenshamrock-shaped pancakes! For dinner we had every thing green! (minus our grilled-cheese sandwiches) We had all manner of green veggies, and shamrock-shaped Jello jigglers and deocrated cupcakes for dessert! And to wrap up the festivities, we had strawberry daiquiris (not green, but still fun!)
Who says you have to be Irish to celebrate St. Patrick's Day?
It's official! I accepted an internship opportunity at a junior high today! I will be teaching 7th Grade English starting in August and I couldn't be happier about it! It is the grade I wanted at the school I wanted, and life is just good! Yay!!!
So it's been a while since I've had a weekend as full as last weekend was. Ok, ok, so my weekends are usually full, but with homework. This weekend was a blast! We started it off by attending the "We Love America" program on Thursday that the first graders put on. It was entertaining, to say the least. And I must say that Skyler did an awesome job on his part and singing! (despite the funny little girl next to him who was completely hamming it up)
On Friday night, the ladies and I headed over to see our friend Hilary perform at BYU in Ballet in Concert. They performed West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet. It was amazing! It was my first ballet experience, and I loved it!
Saturday afternoon, Mare, Kels & I went to Olive Garden for lunch (thanks, Carrie), which was super tasty! After that, we went and saw Vocal Point perform. Wow! Those boys have serious talent! Truly amazing. Kels treated us to Cold Stone after, too! To wrap up an awesome weekend, Mare & I made it to the last BYU home game on Saturday night. And we won, so that made it even better!
So that was my oh-so-fun and event filled weekend! Here's to another week... (is it Friday yet?)
